Bidhan Chandra Institution for Girls has come a long way to reinstate the fact that it is the oldest and the best institution under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in Durgapur.

The placement of our students and the ongoing results in the Higher Secondary Examinations in the bygone years bear testimony to the fact that we have the best staff, best facilities and best students we take pride on.

We have recently come up with the secondary section from Class V onwards which is o-ed and goes by the name Bidhan Chandra Institution (Morning) under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

We organize various programmes like inter-school Quiz competition, Inter-School Sit and Draw Competition for the secondary and the senior sections. Our students have brought laurels not only for themselves but also for the school in the Telegraph Foundation Education Awards. Our students have also earned scores in competitive exams like NEET and have made remarkable achievements in the fields of Sports.

We conduct the Olympiads, career counselling sessions, N.S,T.S.E., Talent Search exams for our senior students. Along with academics, students are also oriented to develop values like sharing, caring, spirit of sacrifice and selfless giving by organizing social service activities that involves donating items to the needy and the poor.

We also have our alumni coordinating with us in all our endeavours. We are proud to have a galaxy of our alumni, stars in their own capacity settled in India and abroad. Some of them are teachers of the institution as well. 

Our overall endeavour is to provide the best of the facilities for our students for their holistic development and earn a goodwill for our institution.
